The Perfect Idea that Can Help You Grow Your Finances Even If the Nigerian Economy is in Recession

This is 2020, many people had plans but COVID happened.

If you are like me, I believe you desire the kind of financial stability that would allow you to live a quiet life but permit you to buy the kind of car you want, own your first home before your mid 30s or 40s, send your kids to the choicest schools, take good care of your parents, get involved in philanthropic activities, etcetera.

But a dream, no matter how good it is would always be faced by challenges especially if you do not know how to go about it.

So I want you to learn from my story... Please read carefully...

After I graduated from university, I could not get employed, and I even faced challenges with getting deployed for NYSC.

I was aimless for so long that I became BROKE.

However, I later decided to employ myself.

I started looking for business opportunities online.

I also started learning skills I could sell online without having to set up a physical store or spend too much capital.

In the process, I found 2 golden opportunities

The first one was a program I came across where I learnt some high demand digital skills.

Using these skills I learnt, I did jobs for my friends and strangers and they paid me for it.

Then some months down the line, I came across a well known perfume brand in Nigeria that allowed me to distribute perfumes for them for a commission. You may have heard about them before; Sapphire Scents. I also earned from it.

From these 2 business experiences, I learnt something that a lot of people do not realise.

I call it "The Perfect Idea" which is this...

"To make money or become wealthy no matter the prevailing conditions in the economy, you must either be selling a PRODUCT or selling a SERVICE."

Identify any notable person out there in our world today,

Is it Bill Gates?

Is it Dangote?

Is it Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook?

They are all selling something.

In the case of Dangote and even myself we sell PRODUCTS.

I sell Sapphire Scent Perfumes. Dangote sells salt, cement and is even about to start refining oil amongst many other things. All these things are products; physical products.

In the case of Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg they sell SERVICES. You can say virtual products.

Both of them built softwares that millions upon millions, even billions of people are using around the world.

So to earn good income or even become wealthy, you must be selling something. Whether it is a PRODUCT or it is a SERVICE.

Between PRODUCTS and SERVICES which one do you prefer?

Let me guide you.

I prefer SERVICES because all that is required is an IDEA and a little capital, maybe like 50,000 Naira to start.

Imagine you want to start a refinery like Dangote. You would need billions of naira to start.

Or even if it is salt, you may need a factory. You would even need NAFDAC approval to start.

But when it comes to SERVICES, it is a different ball game. I heard that Mark Zuckerberg started Facebook with just his laptop, internet connection and some little money and he is a billionaire today.

So back to you,

Which do you prefer?

The choice is up to you.

But before you go, I would like to show you a rare video I recently came across about selling services.

This video reveals a secret method about how you can start selling digital products and services that would easily make you 750K a month even if you are in Nigeria and the economy is in recession.

Types of Entrepreneurs in Affiliate Marketing

5 Types of Entrepreneurs. Some Succeed, Some Fail.

I get asked this all the time. What is the "success rate" of affiliate marketing? This is not exactly a "one size fits all" answer, because there are way too many personal characteristics and traits that will impact your success. Also, if you view entrepreneurship as an opportunity versus a business, the answer will be completely different for you.
There are a lot of moving pieces when you are talking about "personal" success and the dependencies between your work ethic, your knowledge, and your access to the resources you need to achieve success.
So how would one go about determining their potential success rate?
To get the answer of affiliate marketing success rates, it is best to look at the rates in which people succeed in business. On average, a decent percentage of all people fail in business. It is said that 80% of people fail at business within the first 5 years being in business. I believe that statistic is probably quite accurate, but you certainly don't have to be another "failure" statistic.
The cool part is YOU get to decide whether you are part of the 20% of people that are thriving and succeeding in your affiliate marketing business after 5 years, or if you are part of those that fit into the category of failing within your first 5 years.
And this brings me to...

The 5 Different Types of Aspiring Entrepreneur.

I have spent the last 15 years working with well over a million aspiring entrepreneurs directly. I have seen it all, but importantly I have seen characteristics and traits that tend to lead people to success, and I also see people that are failing and this is almost always a result of their habits.
I have classified entrepreneurs into 5 different categories, with some of them leading to you being in the 80% that end up in sometimes guaranteed failure, while others are in the top 20% and even in the top 1%. Let's have a look here.

72 IG Implementation Affiliate Program

(1) The Nothing Doers.

Bottom 10%, FAIL
As with any business, there is going to be a percentage of people that are "nothing doers", or in other words, they don't do squat. If you find yourself starting buying into an idea, but never following through with anything this is you. You stand a VERY good chance of failing if you fall into this category, actually it is imminent.
If you are not willing to do anything, you can't expect results. In my mind, doing something and failing at it is 100x better than not doing anything at all. The nothing doers are certainly not the category you want to fall in, but I can tell you that there are a high percentage of people out there that do fall neatly into it.
Be a "doer". You will only benefit from that.

(2) The Shiny Object Buyers.

Bottom 50%, FAIL
There is a large crowd of people that are trying to buy their way to success. The tend to be drawn to pictures of fancy cars, lavish vacations, outrageous claims of income, and luxurious mansions. They buy something, they get excited about it for a week, then they fizzle when their normal day to day overrides their ambitions to succeed.

Do they stop there?

No, they may take a break for a few weeks or a few months. This is followed by them falling back into purchasing products out of sheer personal guilt over and over again. They tend to indicate they have "bought lots" of courses to validate that they are doing something with themselves, but ultimately lack in the success department. Being a part of many programs over the years is not a claim and overspending your way to try to achieve success is not actual success.
Shiny object buyers can succeed at times. It is rare, but it does happen. This group takes up a large portion of those that fail.
If you suffer from this, please stop. Buying MORE products does not correlate to MORE success. Quite the contrary.

WHOLE NEW WAY TO GROW YOUR AFFILIATE BUSINESS FAST!

3. The Work Until Something Bad Happens.

Outcome: Bottom 80%, FAIL
OK, many of you may be in this boat. Lots of people out there are willing to try something new and learn something new. However, as they move along in their journey, there is almost certainly going to be a wall they hit (a business hurdle). This happens any time you are learning something new and is part of the learning process.
However, as we get older we tend to become more and more deflated by the simplest of failures. Remember those days when we were kids where we would fall off our bike, hurt ourselves, yet keep going. Well, we tend to become adverse to failure as we get older as we are taught in school it is not good to get something wrong (ie, getting an F), and the conditioning of this mentality continues as we move on with our careers.
There is a large percentage of people that are willing to start a business but when times get tough, they resort to the easiest path which is unfortunately quitting...which subsequently leads to failure.

4. The Willing to Work Their Tail Off.

Outcome: Top 20%, SUCCESS
This is a crowd that works hard, and is willing to turn over the rocks and do so with consistency. This group are those that will succeed and create long term businesses. They have the tendency to outwork their competition and when they hit roadblocks they work harder.
With a mixture of ongoing education and advancement of one's skill set, alongside the ability to work hard with consistency and persistence, you can and will be part of the top 20% in business that thrives for years.

The Willing to Fail, to Prevail.

Outcome: Top 1%, SUCCESS
You can work hard all you want, but that will only get you to a certain point in business. Those that are willing to take chances and try things that almost certainly could end in failure, are those that have a competitive advantage of their fellow successful business owners.
Embracing the idea of failure, being creative with your business, and always looking ahead regardless of what is in your way will lead you to the top 1%. There are very few people that ever make it to this category, and it is because there are simply very few people that are willing to work hard with persistence, be creative, embrace the idea of failure as a learning experience, and that won't let anything get in the way of their success.
You can absolutely be in the top 1%, now that you understand the attributes of those that are in it!

These are FIVE different types of entrepreneurs, with different work ethic and characteristics that achieve a wide array of results/outcomes in business. The good news is that if you fit into a category and don't like the "outcome", you can change the course in which you are heading and very quickly and become a higher achieving entrepreneur.
So if you fall into the first 3 "failing" categories, recognize that you are within one of those. Make the changes you need to become a better work-ethic, greater skilled, and more creative entrepreneur and their results will follow.
Which type of entrepreneur class do you fit into and which type are you capable of being? I would love to hear your thoughts, feedback, and comments on affiliate marketing success rates!

Affiliate Marketing Skills

How to Improve Your Affiliate Marketing Blog | News Adswikia Affiliate Marketing

What is Affiliate Marketing?

Simply, by definition, affiliate marketing is known to be "a marketing arrangement by which an online retailer pays a commission to an external website for traffic or sales generated from its referrals." If you're a beginner or new to the term of affiliate marketing, there’s a possibility all of this went completely over your head.
Let's break it down for you. Affiliate marketing is largely regarded as one of the most modern, quick and effective ways to make money online. While many would quote it to be a 'side hustle,' a lot of people successful at it make it their primary means of income. In simpler terms, it is described as the partnership between an individual and a business where the individual creates content, such as blog posts or videos, to market the said business's products or services. This drives an audience towards the product or service for sale and, in turn, the individual, or the affiliate marketer, earns a commission.
However, this is just a basic description of what the job holds. Affiliate marketers can take upon any method that works best for them. For example, a blogger looking to get involved would probably become an affiliate through an affiliate network and would either place a button, banner or link within their blog posts, which will get their reader’s

attention and drive them to the product being marketed. The more social media channels and platforms on the internet utilized, the better the product will be marketed.

The Benefits of Affiliate Marketing

1.    Minimal Expertise Required:
While almost any other career choice in the world would require you to have some prior knowledge or education in it, affiliate marketing is one of those where you need not be a know-it-all on the subject matter. You can learn along the way, but its one of those fields that puts the term 'practice makes perfect' into use.  There are multiple available methodologies and strategies to follow on the internet on how to make affiliate marketing success for you. You can choose the one you resonate with most, or which works best for you and try to go with it. It is merely a trial-and-error based line of work. If you're already an existing blogger or content creator on the world wide web, you can benefit even more by partnering with a business to be an affiliate marketer!

1.    You don't need a lot of money to start it:
While many people shy away from venturing out into new waters when it comes to changing career paths or finding a new one due to financial constraints or money problems, affiliate marketing is not the same. It is a fairly low-cost business opportunity, and nothing is stopping you from joining it. You don't need a lot of resources to get started on affiliate marketing compared to other business ventures. All you need is to have access to the internet and some electricity to assist it for you! If you're tech-savvy, that might give you an upperhand at the game, but it is not essentially a requirement. Similarly, if you're an existing blogger or content creator on the internet, you might have a head-start, but a lot of people have still made it reasonably well without either of these two skills.
1.    It is a Wide Industry:
Affiliate marketing as an industry is one with a lot of depth and width to it. It is pretty far-reaching and profitable, and one which may have over a billion-dollar' worth in it. Since it is a vast field, searching for products or services you understand well and see yourself working with is fairly easy to do and one that will allow you to understand the whole ordeal better. Due to the fact that you can make your own choices, you can maintain your honesty and sincerity, which comes with it, which would probably help earn the trust of your customers faster. Commission wise, it has been proven that those people who show the most belief and interest in their products are the ones that tend to be more successful than their counterparts.
1.    Flexibility and Freedom come with it:
No matter whether your approach at affiliate marketing is for a secondary means of income or primary means of income, it comes with a considerable amount of freedom, independence and flexibility. Unlike any other ordinary job, affiliate marketing lets you make a few decisions on your own, such as choosing your schedule and when you want to work. Similarly, you can take your off days and even decide who you want to partner or work with. The environment and timetable you choose can be by your comfort so you can maximize and optimize your productivity.
1.    You can choose it as a Secondary Source of Income:
Affiliate Marketing doesn't have to be the only way for you to earn an income. In fact, if you already have a job and don't want to quit it, but still need some extra cash on the side. Affiliate Marketing may be the best option for you! You can use it to make money on the side without any pressure of making it big right at the start since you already have an income supporting you. This means you can be much more relaxed with your venture and can take time to figure out the method and strategy that works best for you. However, if you do choose to make it your primary source of income, it could very well be one and can make you money faster than looking for a job.
These are just a few benefits of affiliate marketing. Of course, since the market is so wide, the benefits that come with it can be just as vast. Even if there may be risks involved, the advantages could work to outweigh them.

Earn Big with Information Product

A digital product is essentially any product that you don’t hold in your hands and that can be saved on a computer, smartphone or tablet. An information product meanwhile is a product that revolves around providing information. That means something like a book, a podcast or a course. So a digital informational product is something that ticks both these boxes much like this very eBook!

This eBook is informational because you’re learning from it and it’s digital because it only exists on a file on your

harddrive. Creating and selling a digital product just so happens to be one of the most popular and most effective business models that there is. The reason for this is that it offers incredible ROI and is highly versatile.

When you create and sell a digital product, you are providing value in the form of the information contained therein. This is what allows you to charge money for your product and it’s what makes it desirable for your audience. At the same time though, a digital product has very little overhead.

There may be some initial investment involved in the creation of your product as you’ll need to outsource the process or pay someone to create it for you but after that, you’ll then be able to sell as many copies as you like without it costing you a single thing. There’s no cost associated with storage, there’s no delivery and there are no materials.

In business, this is known as ‘COGS’ or ‘Cost Of Goods Sold’.

With a high value and no overheads then, a digital product can provide almost 100% profit on each sale. What’s more, is that it’s incredibly versatile and simple to create and sell. You don’t need to get in touch with a manufacturing contractor, or find seed money, or learn to code.  As long as you understand how to write into a Word processor, this option is available for everyone.

How People Are Making Money From Information

Products

In terms of how the business model works, it will largely be posting to a blog that will help you to bring more traffic to your website. The more you add content to your website in the form of a blog, the more people will be able to find your website via Google and the more people are likely to share your content on social media as well. Adding content to a blog also allows you to build trust with your audience. The people who enjoy your content on the website will find themselves wanting more and trusting what you have to say.

This then means they’ll be far more likely to want to buy your products when they see that you provide even more information behind a small pay wall. That right there is the basis for ‘content marketing’ which we’ll look at more

when we come onto this article on blogging. Actually though, there are also other methods you can use to sell a digital product.

For instance, you can sell a digital product via social media, on forums or even through Amazon (for Kindle). Another option is to let other people promote your product for you and to simply take a cut of the profits.

So there are lots of options when it comes to selling a digital product. Simply put, this is one of the simplest and easiest ways to get a product that you can then start promoting and marketing. But how do you go about making one? There are plenty of options here but in many cases you’ll be able to simply handle the creation of your digital product yourself. If you are selling an eBook for instance then you only need to create a large MSWord document, include some images and good formatting and then save the final file as a PDF.

Alternatively, if you’re creating a video series, then you can just film yourself on camera and then edit the video neatly using editing software such as Adobe Photo Shop. Creating an email course is even easier. For this, all you’ll need is to write out some emails and then sign up to an autoresponder which you can use to automatically send your emails. A good choice is AWeber (www.aweber.com).

The main tip when doing this is to make sure you come up with a digital product that will play to your strengths and that you can be proud of. It’s very important to come up with a digital product you’re proud of because that way you’ll be able to promote it much more easily. When you talk about a product you truly believe in, your passion will come across and people will be far more likely to believe in what you’re offering too.

If you’re kind of shy of the quality of what you’ve created, then your marketing will lack conviction and you won’t attract repeat customers. In terms of creating something that plays to your strengths, that means picking a topic that you know a lot about and that is relevant to the topic or niche of your website and it means creating something you can create well. If you’re a great writer, then write an eBook!

If you aren’t so good at writing though but have an excellent manner on camera, then film a video series! If you can’t do either of those things, then consider using screenshots of your computer/creating slideshows and then narrating them. Alternatively, another popular option is to simply outsource the creation of your digital information product. There are thousands of writers, video editors and other skilled individuals on the web and any one of them will
likely be happy to help.

The best places to find these people are generally freelancing sites which include the likes of ‘Elance’  (www.elance.com) or ‘UpWork’ (www.upwork.com). On either of these you should be able to find someone
with the skills you need and from there it will cost you between $100 and $1,000 depending on the nature of the job you need done and the quality you are looking for (good writers will generally charge upwards of $3 per
100 words).

What To Price Your eBook?

Once you have your digital product, the next question is how much you want to charge for it. This of course is entirely up to you, though you don’t want to charge too much and alienate your audience. We recommend
around $7 for a short report, or $17-27 for a full length eBook (10,000 words plus). What you’ll find when you look around the web is that there are plenty of examples of eBooks being sold for ridiculous prices – sometimes as much
as $50, $100 or more.

While this does happen, the books very rarely manage to provide value for money and in the long run this can lead to
damaged reputations and angry customers. Likewise, you’ll find it much easier to sell a cheaper book to begin with until you have built up a reputation for yourself as someone who can be trusted and who delivers premium content.
A good tip is to start with something small to test the market. Don’t aim to create the eBook to end all eBooks.

Instead, start out with something smaller like a report and sell that for $7. This allows you to very quickly and easily start honing your business model and generating income without investing too much or creating too much risk. Only once you’ve seen that this method is working and you’re earning money, do you then go and invest further into the business model with a bigger product at a higher price point. Remember too – there’s nothing to stop you from experimenting with price points and running ‘split tests’ to see which is the most profitable!

Creating Your Landing/Sales Page

One of the most important tools when it comes to affiliate marketing is to create a landing page. This is essentially a single page, also known as a ‘sales page’, that is entirely dedicated to selling your one product. A sales page will look different from the other pages on a website because it has no links to other parts of the site, no adverts and no distracting images.

In other words, everything on the page is there to serve the one objective of selling copies of your information product or whatever else it is that you’re selling. Often these pages are long and narrow and they contain a lot of text and a lot of ‘buy now’ buttons. Those buy now buttons are your ‘call to action’ buttons and of course they contain the affiliate link you just acquired.

The real magic of the landing page is the text. All the copy here is going to be aimed at persuading people to buy the product and this is where you’re  really going to earn your wage. Your objective is to be as persuasive as possible while not misrepresenting what you have to sell. The way to do this is to remember that ‘value proposition’. That means focusing on what the product does for people.

How will their lives be better after they’ve used it? Maybe they’ll be a success with the opposite sex, or maybe they’ll be much richer and happier. Your job is to get them to imagine that possibility and to really desire it. At the same time, you point out their current failings in their situation and why their previous attempts to improve their lot in life may have failed.

In other words, you present a problem and then provide the solution – that solution being the eBook you’re selling or the online course. An easy and fast way to create a sales page is by using OptimizePress (http://optimizepress.com) which is a theme for Wordpress. Once you have this landing page, you’ll then be well equipped to market your product very easily.

For instance, if you pay for advertising then all you need to do is ensure those ads are sending the right kind of traffic to your sales page! Likewise, you can hand out flyers with the URL of your sales page, or you can mention it in social media posts. If you’ve written your sales script well then you can expect a large number of people who stumble on that page to end up converting – becoming paying customers!
